So, I have never "blogged" before so I'm just going to have some fun with this first post. I am sitting here, pretending to watch the Superbowl and I've realized a lot of things about society. Big corporations pay millions and trillions of dollars to advertise their products for thirty seconds. Don't get me wrong, I know this is necessary to entice consumers and coerce them into purchasing their product, no matter how valuble or vital it is to survival. The thing that blows my mind is that people actually buy products based on the commercials. I feel like people should research what their buying instead of putting all their trust into a company made up of people who only want your money.
Also, athletes get paid way too much for their profession. I understand that their careers are shorter due to age limitations and risk of injury, however, that is why I believe an athlete should only be in the draft if they have completed college with a degree in some other area. Unrealistic, I know. But seriously, who NEEDS 785,000,000 dollars?? No one. I'm the optimist who believes that if we allocated the money to other things such as welfare programs to benefit the needy, hunger could be reduced and more people would have homes.
Heavy topics for my first blog, but I love to rant.
